Paris, USA Dispatch Cuba for Gold

The USA Basketball Women's Senior National Team earned gold at the FIBA Americas Championships Sunday and, more importantly, a spot in the 2008 Olympic Games. Behind Diana Taurasi's double-double, the United States dispatched Cuba, 101-71, in the championship game. Tauarsi recorded 15 points and 12 rebounds. Tina Thompson led the U.S. with 18 points.

Actually, according to the official site, Candace was not THE leading scorer but ONE of the leading scorers for the U.S.A. -- tied at 13.8 ppg with Tina Thompson. Those two play really well together!
