What about A&M?
Excellent statement by the Big XII!
Any information on ticket sales from the other Super Regionals?

For some reason The Aggies aren't selling as well as the others. I searched for 2 tickets last night to check and got 2 together behin home plate, and the same 2 came up again tonight. It's not scientific, but still a little surprising. A&M usually has no issues with softball attendance., and I'm sure by tomorrow they'll have it pretty packed.

I didn't get to see the TAMU game, but Baylor just toyed with Michigan. Made them look like an NAIA team.
Go Big XII!

I watched the A&M game and it was simply amazing. A&M didn't have any kind of error in the entire game and won 2-0, with 2 of 3 walks intentional, and only three hits allowed, 1 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th.
With the bases filled in the 6th inning and only one out, pitcher Amanda Scarborough forced a ground out, and struck out the next batter. That was the last time Florida had baserunners, as she went 1-2-3 in the 7th.
Great defense and pitching from A&M. Florida outscored their region 18-0 and allowed only 6 total hits. A&M had 7 tonight, and enough offense to win.
Prior to that win, Baylor scorched Michigan primarily due to pitching (2-hitter) and a once-in-a-career performance from Ashleigh Monceaux. She went 4-4 with three home runs and 8 RBI's in a 9-0 run-rule domination in five innings.
South Carolina lost to Northwestern 6-1, Alabama lost 4-3 to Washington, Florida lost 2-0 to A&M, and Tennessee beat an overmatched Hawaii team (as I clearly predicted on another board) 9-0.
The SEC now has three of five teams on the elimination bubble with two games to play, and LSU hasn't yet played a game. At this particular moment the Big 12 looks like the mad dog conference of the year, outscoring two very credible opponents 11-0.
OU has to be sky-high in advance of their 11 am start against DePaul tomorrow.
Maybe one of the best days ever for the Big 12 in softball. Two amazing performances, one an offensive explosion and pitching shutdown, the other a stunning pitching and defensive tutorial with just enough offense to win, over a team clearly not imagining such a result.
Two corrections to my posts of yesterday, thanks to the shoddy reporting of ESPN.
Ashleigh Monceaux of Baylor had two home runs and 5 RBI's with 4 runs scored yesterday. ESPN reported 3 homers and 8 RBI's for her. Either way a banner game, but it's irksome that ESPN delivers crap like that so consistently.
Secondly, Florida had two walks against Baylor, not three. One of the two was intentional.

BU and OU and TAMU lose today. But BU is now up 4-0 over MU in game 3.
Congrats to Chipper's Northwestern team and congrats to the UW Dawgs for taking out Alabama.
ASU won game 1 and I believe UA is going to win game 1 tonight.

Baylor Bears! Your coach is a great guy and he has talked about steps etc to get the program to the top. Watch out for them they are going to be tough in OKC........thinking the fans will flock in!
Congrats to the First 2 Big 12 teams to CWS! Now lets get the Sooners in! Depaul is NASTY and will fight hard with em tommorow but I think Gasso will pull out some tricks to win 2!
Tennessee did lose to Hawaii but came back to win, great to see Alabama out!
Arizona is down early though!

Arizona is down early though!
Down early...but up late. After a 5 run first inning and Lowe diving nose first :( literally into the centerfield fence....Arizona now leads 11-5 going into the 7th!
Also congrats to ASU and Washington for moving on.

Error prone game...
Arizona wins 11-6!
Fullerton really was their own worst enemy, allowing 9 unearned runs on five errors. And there were more mistakes than just those five. Two glaring ones were an easy out on a high popup on the infield, and neither player called for it and it dropped in between them for a hit, and throwing behind a base runner caught off base between first and second, when both interior infielders were trotting toward the pitcher's mound. The runner took second standing up. A flat-out embarrassing defensive performance for them, and I'm sure they'll be trying to make amends for it today.

Maybe so...but Arizona took full advantage of it. The homers by Balko and Roth were the difference makers!
Go 'Cats & Sooners!

Arizona advances! Lowe back in the lineup today which is great news. I'm dreaming of an ASU/UofA final! Or a TAMU/UofA final!
Oklahoma doesn't :( wow this is a huge surprise to me. I didn't see the game but expected OU to get through to the series. DePaul looked very good yesterday.

Well, it didn't happen for OU. Whether it was the Depaul pitching or the Sooner bats, it didn't happen.
They had one of the news-station helicopters hover over the field earlier for about 45 minutes to blow the water off the field. Otherwise, I doubt the field would have been in playing shape by the 1:30 start time.
Congrats to both the Aggies and the Bears as they make their way into Oklahoma City this week. Certainly will be rooting for the both of them.

Very disappointing to watch the Sooners lose both super regional games. I had truly hoped that they would make it back to the WCWS. Darn.
Good luck to Baylor and A&M. Both teams look great, especially the Bears.

I was surprised as well by the Sooners. One of the best offenses in the country, if not the best, and the bats disappear, especially in the Super but pretty much the whole NCAA tournament. If I figured right, OU batted .203 in the NCAA"s as compared to .330 for the year. DePAul was very impressive.
Scarborough seems to be in top form right now for A&M, and Baylor is playing great right now in all aspects of the game. It's gonna be a brand new experience for our girls, but the mental outlook and team chemistry on this team are as good as I've seen on pretty much any Baylor team I can remember. Being the #8 seed and the new kid on the block, nobody really expects us to do a whole lot, so I think a little of the pressure is off. Normally I'd hope for Arizona to overlook us a little, but after we took 2-3 from them earlier this year, I don't think that's gonna happen. Plus Candrea didn't get to where he is by underpreparing his team in the big time games. I just hope the umpires up there aren't as intimidated by him as the ones down here were :)
I should be able to make the Thursday games, and I'm really looking forward to seeing some of the star players, I've seen Scarborough, Mowatt, Lawrie and Abbott pitch before (although for Monica Abbott it was 3 years ago) but it'll be fun to see Burkhart and Cochran for ASU, and the DePaul pitchers looked pretty salty this weekend as well. Glad to see Caitlin Lowe back on the field after her collision yesterday (although a small part of me thinks she needs to be extra careful and take one more game off ;) )
