Fun in the Sun, I wish!!! I just spent 11+ hours watching softball during this overcast, windy, 45 degree day... but still loved it.

It didn't hurt that we started the season off with a 18-0 no-hitter against Southern Miss, followed by an 8-3 win over A&M- Corpus. THe best news was the great play of our 5 freshmen, who combined for the two games went 12-25 with 3 HR's and 12 RBI. Youth was our main concern going into the season, and today helped reassure me alot about that.

Elsewhere, UT said "Cat who???" with a 1-hit shutout of UCLA!!! A&M and Nebraska also won two games each. OSU and Tech each split a pair.

OU wins their first game of the day 3-0 over Illinois. Eckermann went the distance giving up 6 hits and fanning 6. They play FIU at 5pm. I think they are doing some type of bracket play tomorrow.

I can't imagine what the weather will be in Norman on Friday for the Sooners home opener - it could be 65 or it could be snowing - that is my meterological forecast - we will have weather
