I watched the movie, "Friday Nite Lights" this past weekend.......

I was astounded at the level of competition these kids (and I do mean kids)
play under. I think there are probably some DI schools where the pressure to perform is not so intense.

Now, I don't follow much football......just college and then pretty limited to the Big XII.

Has Texas Football always been like this?

I know Jenks HS here in Oklahoma (Tulsa area)......it is HUGE; and I'm sure in other parts. I've never really paid a lot of attention to HS Football, but I recall reading an article that Jenks HS has built quite an impressive stadium. If I remember right........a lot of donor money goes into that program.
