Importing Text

What's the best way to import text that has rows and columns so that it's readable?

The text has to come from a source that has rows and columns formated in a fixed font.

Then it is pasted in using the "CODE" tags. See the # button on the formatting options above the text box when you are posting a message.

When copying data from a website, it doesn't always retain the columns/rows. If it doesn't, I paste it to a Word doc, change the font to courier and edit it with spaces to line stuff up. Then in the message text box, click on the # button, put a 1 or some character in the popup box and hit enter to get your CODE tags. Then I copy the text from the word document into the post over the 1 or whatever character in the CODE tags.
