I can't use an avatar...

My "edit avatar" page has a single radio button that is on and says "don't use avatar", and there isn't anything I can change there.

Hmmmm. I had no trouble. Immediately under "Do not use an Avatar" is a section labelled "Custom Avatar". You should be able to click on the radio button there titled "Use Custom Avatar". Then either point to a place on the web, or upload an image from your computer. The image must be 50x50 pixles or less than 19.5 kb in size.

Let me know if you have further problems.

I confirm YCN's problem. There's no option to upload a custom avatar. Maybe there's an option set somewhere that only allows admins to do it?

From the FAQ:

"If the administrator has provided a set of avatars, and avatars are enabled, you may select an avatar that best describes your personality. The administrator may also have enabled custom avatars, which allows you to upload an avatar image from your computer."

There are no predefined avatars set up. I'm guessing custom avatars are not enabled.

Well, avatars are enabled. I changed one other minor thing - see if it works now. If not, I'll look into this more closely once I get back home - hmmmm, maybe over the weekend.

Still doesn't work. I'm guessing avatars are enabled but there is a place to enable custom avatars and it is currently disabled.
