Boxscore Results

Okay, I've finished creating a way of looking at boxscore results for the Hoopla! game. Just go to http://hoopscoop.net/big12wbb/hoopla.html.

You can do all the usual sorting by player classification, player position, or boxscore stat. I will keep an archive of boxscores so that you can look at Hoopla! results for each set of picks you submit. Right now, since we just started, I have January 10th up only. My results agree with mred's except I have Toccara Williams with only 18 Hoopla! Points, not 22. Caton Hill and Plenette Pierson had 22 points which would include them among the Top 5 performances for January 10th.

My numbers agree with yours. I calculated 18 for Williams, but inadvertently typed 22 instead. The relatively poor shooting percentage of guards really hurts them, as Williams was the second-highest guard but the 11th highest player overall. The 10 people ahead of her included 1 guard (Perkins), 5 forwards(Unrau, Ohlde, Cepero, Johnson(KU), Cook), 2 F/P (Pierson, Hill), and two posts (Cunningham, Welle).

Hmmmmm. Hadn't looked at that yet. We will need to see how the rest of the season goes and see if we aren't discriminating against the guards. I think what may really be hurting them is that Forwards and Post also typically rebound a lot more and have more blocks. Maybe steals and assists aren't enough to help the guards overall.
