Yep. And she had a good rookie season last year, so it's pretty surprising that she was waived so early.

KU - Jaclyn Johnson - I was surprised and disappointed that she was cut. I've read that Lynn Pride is playing well this year.
TEXAS - We gained one and lost one.
- Beverly Williams - Waived by the Monarchs. She is about 36. She was an ABL star before an ACL injury. I'd like to see her get a chance in the WNBA even for a year or two but the off guard spot is crowded in the WNBA.
- Vicki Hall - Bounced from the Rockers to Indiana last year and now picked up by the Sparks. Vicki is another very good player past her prime. She plays hard, plays smart, and shoots well when open. She made some real fans in Cleveland. She didn't get many minutes in Indiana last year.

I, also, heard that Jaclyn had a really good offseason overseas.
I think this is more a case of a "new coach".....Jaclyn was Caroline Peck's kind of player, as I think Danielle Crockrum was also.
Kenya Larkin was picked as a free agent for Phoenix and was cut last week......not sure that many free agent's make rosters.

I also noticed that Angie Braziel is no longer listed on the Mystics roster and I have yet to see anywhere where she has been waived, terminated, or quit. Her profile is still on the website and her team name is the Mystics so I'm not too sure. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/confused.gif

Angie Braziel is listed as 'suspended'. I think suspended means the player was under contract but did not report.

Thanks carolann. Where did you get that info?
Shouldn't we move this discussion to the regular board?

They have a special word for some of the suspensions and that's what Braziel is under.....
"Priority assignment"....no one can figure out what it means though the Sparks Rhonda Mapp is under the same and she failed to sign her contract and is suspended for the season under this same "designation".

She has had so much potential I would just hate to see her miss this season. She was really coming on in the last 10 games or so of last year's season. She was averaging almost 8 ppg but no...ol Nell Fortner HAD to trade her. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

Braziel - I think I originally saw the information on the WNBA web site for the Mystics. Yesterday, I couldn't find the information again. I went out to the wbbalz site. http://www.geocities.com/wbballz/
There are 2 terms 'suspended' and 'priority assignment'. I think suspended means the player signed a contract and then didn't show up or left. I think 'priority assignment' means the player didn't sign a contract for the year. Someone really has to contact the WNBA and find out!
