The speedy little lead off hitter for Texas, Shannon Thomas has apparently transferred to Cal Berkeley, near her home. She was all big 12 her sophomore year.
This is a great catch for Cal as the girl is really fast and a great hitter. She set records for triples at UT because she was so fast that she turned doubles into triples. She is great at getting on base and has a phenomenal stolen base percentage. I used to worry that she would pass other base runners on the field with her speed.
I had so hoped to see her in burnt orange again. Wishing her all the best in Norcal!!
