I have seen many post on here asking about Lady Bear Canada Trip Labor Dat Weekend and who they play. This is from June 5 Tip Off Club Newsletter
TRAVEL PLANS
As we mentioned in the last newsletter the Lady Bears will be taking some great road trips this year and we want as many fans as possible to travel to these games to support the team. Here are some updates on those trips.
Labor Day Weekend
The Lady Bears will take advantage of the NCAA rule allowing an early start to the season once every four years if you travel out of the country with a trip to Vancouver, British Columbia. The team will leave on August 29 for two games in Vancouver that weekend against the University of Vancouver and Simon Fraser University. This will be a great trip to see the Lady Bears and some great country in the Pacific Northwest. You will need a passport to go to Canada.
The best deals for flights seem to be to fly into Seattle and then make the drive over to Vancouver. There are a couple of good deals if you fly out of Waco, but they seem to change almost daily. The flights out of DFW seem to be a little more consistent but still fluctuate upward every few days. We have one group that is staying at The Hampton Inn Vancouver Airport which is about 8-10 miles from downtown and about the same from the two universities. The team is staying at the Fairmont Waterfront downtown.:)
