Big 12 Softball Weekly Awards Announced (May 6)

Heidi Foland (Nebraska) and Brittany Barnhill (Texas) have been named the Big 12 Player and Pitcher of the Week for games of April 29-May 5, the conference announced. This is the first weekly award for the pair as they are the first freshmen to sweep weekly awards since 2004.

I was at the NU-MU game where Heidi went 3-for-3 and scored each time she was on base. That was a good game for the Huskers. Of course, then we got deflated the next day. It's been an uncharacteristically bad year overall for the Nebraska softball team.
