The transfer to yet another new webhost is nearly complete. Hopefully there will not be too many more glitches.
I am already telling a difference with the new webhost. It is very fast - no hesitations at all.
Please respond to this thread if you notice any slowdowns and if it takes a long time to post or read through the messages.
Thanks for everyone's patience in this matter!
In order to get here I got a mostly bare page that had a line on it titled "parent directory". Since we all need parents I clicked on it and got the normal front door to this site.

That's what I got too when I used my old bookmark - but wasn't smart enough to click on "parent directory" - so went back to my basic bookmark of hoopscoop.net, signed in and no more problems - if I use my OLD bookmark which some sort of internet magic (or cookies) has transformed to something much longer which takes me to the forums.

The word "parent directory" basically means the original place where the site map originates from. You don't need to call your parents to access it. :p

Yea, its working great! Why on earth did you ever go with those other guys? Oh, yea, I recommended them...

The thing is my regular bookmark was on an offspring (forum page) rather than the parent. I just had to delete the kid and go back to asking the parent for permission to come in. :D
The site does work well thanks.
PS, I thought about writing a passionate post about being devastated because I was not able to get into HoopScoop no matter how hard I tried, but I was afraid some folks might believe it. How could I post it without getting into the site? ;) (some of us are just evil I guess)
Truth is though, NOT being able to come to HoopScoop would be devastating to a lot of us junkies. Thanks again Commish!

Yeah, I'm impressed. This new webhost is lightning quick. And, by the way, the new host is Hostgator.com. We may have finally found a new home.

Thank you Hoopscoop! Don't know why but I found if you use Firefox it's usually alot faster than Internet Explorer. It is for me anyway.

And I can vouch for this thought ... I was not able to get in from last Friday until Sunday . I contacted UnkieMark via RebKell and he kindly contacted the Commish who performed his magic so I could get back in to HoopScoop. When I got back in there were over 300 new posts!
Talk about severe withdrawal symptoms.... and I couldn't get on to give my Buffs a shout out for hanging tough for the win over KSU!
Thanks again to Unkiemark for his help and to the Commish for doing his computer magic.
