Jordan Daniels (Baylor) and Megan Gibson (Texas A&M) have been named the Big 12 Player and Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced. Gibson is receiving her fourth career weekly award, while this is the first honor for Daniels.

Amazing weekend out of nowhere for Jordan Daniels this week. In her first three years, in 131 games, she was a .261 hitter with a total of 1 double, zero homers and 14 RBI. So of course, every one expected her to hit 2 doubles and 3 homers in her first four games.

And to top it off, she hit the first two pitches she saw tonight out of the park for 2 more homers and 5 RBI. Pretty nice way to start off a senior season.
