About now I am sure that just about everybody is saying, "Who is Hannah Werth?" She is a 6'1' OH from Chatham Glenwood HS in Illinois. She was also being recruited by Wisconsin, Illinois, UCLA, Florida and Stanford.
Now your family can't get out there and play for you, but if they could, Hannah certainly has the right stuff. In brief, her brother Jayson plays for the Phillies, her sister Hillary is on the track team at UCLA, her mother Kim Schofield Werth is a legend in Illinois HS track lore, her father Dennis Werth, her uncle Dick Schofield, and her grandfather, Dick "Ducky" Schofield, all played baseball in the Major Leagues.
She plans to graduate early and join the Huskers for the Spring 2009 season.

And this just in from the Springfield Journal Register, http://www.sj-r.com/Sports/stories/23372.asp
Werth led the CS8 with 699 kills, an average of 17.5 per match, with a .292 hitting efficiency along with 350 digs and 54 blocks. She is second all-time in Illinois in career kills with 1,416. Morton senior Allison McGlaughlin leads with 1,692. Werth’s season total is second all-time in Illinois, bettered only by Amy Pauly’s 717 for Darien Hinsdale South.
As a postscript, I am sure glad and thankful to see this Volleyball/Softball Forum and hope that everyone is bookmarking far enough back to see it!
