We'll probably go to ISU's first round match. Unfortunately, if ISU wins I can't go to the second round match becaue my church has a Christmas program that evening.
We were in Ames for Thanksgiving and went to the ISU-OU match Saturday. It was a blast. :)

It'll be very interesting to have the Huskers going to Badger-land... one fan called it a potential "all-out war."
Unfortunately, the Huskers-Jacks volleyball game will interfere with the Huskers-Jays basketball game unless the latter is moved up to 5:00 (crosses fingers).

Good luck to all the Big 12 teams. Obviously :CU: is not going to the NCAA's this year. What an embarrassment the season was. I still went to every home match.

I am so looking forward to this tournament, but definitely aggravated at the lack of TV coverage before the semifinals.
The Big 12 and FOX certainly did not do us any favors during the regular season. I think there were only a couple of matches on TV, one of which I missed because I was at the HS state tournament.
A weekly match from the Pac 10, plus a few here and there from the Big Ten and the SEC was just about it. Enjoyable, but just not enough. Highlights of the year? Stanford-Washington and of course, Arkansas's nearly unbelievable five game win over Florida for their only loss of the season, which gave a serious blow to their ranking from which they have never recovered.
Early this season, I was almost certain that Nebraska would have little trouble in repeating, but as it has played out, I am not at all certain of that.
My predictions come down to Nebraska, Texas, Stanford and Washington.

The Arkansas/Florida game was amazing!
I'm bummed that NM State goes to Austin - if they get through LSU, they most likely would face Texas :( Darn - I'd like to see them go further than the 2nd round. I don't see the NM Aggies beating Texas but you never know :)

Actually, for everyone except those on dialup, The NCAA is giving us video and audio of many of the matches. Here is the current list with links at this site: http://www.ncaasports.com/broadcast/schedule/champ-audio
In checking out some of the links, I discovered that they lead to any number of individual sites ~~ Stanford, Wisconsin, etc. rather than the NCAA. This means any number of ways to access the content, so I'd say start early in checking out anything you may be interested in watching .

Today's lineup of matches is a light one, only two on tap, with 30 more set to go tomorrow. Volleyball heaven, if only even a fraction of them were going to be on TV.
Oklahoma is well on their way to a first round win, leading Florida A&M 30-25, 32-30, 29-31 and has a nearly insurmountable 20-10 lead in game four.
FINAL SCORE Oklahoma 30-14
Today's other match is Minnesota-Sacramento State, due to start in about 30 minutes. Minnesota has one player worth mentioning here. Basketball star Kelly Roysland decided to play volleyball this season and has done an outstanding job for the Gophers. It took her very little time to step into a contributing role on the team, and has 210 digs for the season, playing mostly as a defensive specialist.
It does appear that the NCAA site is in error in reporting that there are only two matches scheduled for today. There are two other with game tracker links at the moment and about seven more matches on their daily schedule page, including Texas-Texas State and Missouri State-Oregon.
WELL, I am going to give up trying to figure them out. This article http://ncaasports.com/volleyball/womens/recaps/d1_1129_630091/2007 the recap of the Oklahoma match says only the Gainesville subregional is in action tonight, so scratch those other matches . . . or not.

Hooo boy! I thought our girls play good volleyball but watching the Huskers crush us... they are good! 30-13, 30-14, 30-13. Didn't record a block and had a negative hitting percentage.
Next year lets play good enough to avoid a first round match-up with Nebraska again

Not too many surprises in the first round volleyball matches, though 17-12 Missouri nearly pulled off the greatest upset in tournament history, losing to Washington 30-23, 28-30, 30-22, 32-34, 11-15. No seeded team has ever lost in the first round. http://ncaasports.com/volleyball/womens/recaps/d1_1130_01540793/2007

Today's second round matchups, with winners in bold if I have found the result. Seeded losers in red. I didn't change the records, so just mentally add a win to each team.
No. 1 Stanford (27-2) vs. Sacramento St. (28-7)
Purdue (18-13) vs. No. 16 Cal Poly (21-7)
No. 9 Kansas St. (22-8) vs. Oregon (20-10)
Clemson (28-3) vs. No. 8 UCLA (20-10)
No. 5 USC (25-4) vs. Long Beach St. (25-6)
Delaware (30-4) vs. No. 12 St. John’s (N.Y.) (31-3)
No. 13 Florida (27-2) vs. Oklahoma 21-9)
LSU (24-7) vs. No. 4 Texas (24-3)
No. 3 Penn St. (28-2) vs. Albany (N.Y.) (23-9)
Michigan (22-10) vs No. 14 Colorado St. (22-7)
No. 11 Hawaii (26-5) vs. Middle Tenn. (33-2)
BYU (21-7) vs. No. 6 Washington (26-3)
No. 7 Wisconsin (25-4) vs. Iowa St. (17-13)
Duke (24-6) vs. No. 10 California (22-7)
No. 15 Dayton (32-1) vs. Michigan St. (19-13)
Wichita St. (26-5) vs. No. 2 Nebraska (27-1)
Iowa State has an upset in the making, taking games one and two 28 and 25.
Cyclones win three straight 30-28, 30-25, 30-24 for the biggest upset of the tournament so far. Kansas State leads two games to one.
Washington struggled yesterday against Missouri and has lost the first game to BYU tonight.
Kansas State had three match points, but lost game four 36-34. Game five coming up. (I'm listening on the radio)
KSU trailing throughout most of game five, last tie was 8-8. Now 12-9, NOT looking good. 13-9, 13-10, 13-11, 14-11 Match point Oregon. 15-11. That's it. KSU wins the first two, then lose three straight at home.
Three matches left on the west coast. I'll catch them later.

There were some truly shocking results in the second round. SIX ranked teams fell, 6, 7, 9, 11, 14, 15 and several others had difficult times, notably #5 USC who took five games to defeat Long Beach State and #8 UCLA went four with Clemson.
So who DIDN'T have difficulty?
#1 Stanford defeated Sacramento State in three, but had one close game. 23, 11, 28
#2 Nebraska over Wichita State 22, 19, 19
#3 Penn State defeated Albany 15, 9, 19
#4 Texas defeated LSU 21, 22, 23
#16 Cal Poly defeated Purdue 12, 14, 27

Dale, is there any video anywhere of the Iowa State-Wisconsin match?
There's some archived video here: http://www.uwbadgers.com/audio_video/
I haven't looked at it, so I don't know if it's everything or just highlights.

Thanks for that, mred. There's also this to look forward to: http://www.uwbadgers.com/game_day That is where the next round should be televised on December 7. They didn't get the best of draws, but it could have been worse. Iowa St.vs No. 10 California
In fact, here are all the pairings for the Regionals:
No. 1 Stanford vs No. 16 Cal Poly
Oregon vs No. 8 UCLA
No. 5 USC vs 12 St. John’s
No. 13 Florida vs No. 4 Texas
No. 3 Penn St. vs Michigan
Middle Tenn.vs BYU
Iowa St.vs No. 10 California
Michigan State vs No. 2 Nebraska
And I am sure that the NCAA will update this link so everyone can find the appropriate video or audio for the matches they are interested in. Right now it still shows links for the first two rounds. http://www.ncaasports.com/broadcast/schedule/champ-audio
Game Tracker will be on the Scores page when they get one organized for the next round.

I am so happy/stunned that we beat Wisconsin!! I just wish they weren't playing Cal - my adopted 'home' university when I lived out there from 85 to 95. But I will not pull for anyone else when they're playing ISU. Go Cyclones!!! :ISU:

Seems to be everything (although from a single fixed camera). Thanks, mred! Now I'm hoping they'll post the news conference video. From this camera angle, you can't see anybody's face.
