Texas beat Missouri tonight to set up a showdown with #1 Nebraska in Austin next Wednesday. Nebraska has no conference losses (or any other losses) this year. Texas' only conference loss was in Lincoln.
Nebraska, wow! What ever happens with the other sports, Nebraska can count on volleyball. Nebraska not only hasn't lost a match this year, they've hardly lost a game.
I hope I can make the game.

It should be another exciting match--I believe that the last three Husker-Longhorn matches in Austin have been classic five-game thrillers.
Of course, I won't get to see or even listen to this game, because I'll be watching Yamato at the Lied Center. Go figure!
Also, the Huskers are 54-1 in terms of games--the only game loss was to UCLA in the AVCA Showcase. We'll see on Wednesday though--it's always a clash of the titans down in Austin!

Obviously would be a HUGE win for the Longhorns. I imagine Gregory Gym will be loud.

Carol Ann,
Your initial post peaked my curiosity to see who won. Since you didn't come back to Hoopscoop and post results I had to do some internet research. Seeing that you're either too modest or too much of a good sport to toot your own "horn" let me offer congratulations to the University of Texas volleyball team for taking a 3 game sweep from the number one ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers. Hope you were able to attend.

Congrats to Texas for sweeping Nebraska and us last night.
I missed the Nebraska vs CU match but after seeing Texas last night, I have to say that team is downright scary!! I have never before seen a group of young ladies who are both that tall and that good at the game! Most of the time their front line averaged at least 6'4" . GULP!
I have to also give cudos to the Buffs for hanging tough in games 1 and 3.

Thanks to all for the congratulations.
It was a huge win for the Texas Program. To win in such dominating fashion shocked even a lot of Longhorn fans. Nebaska was, seemingly, a little stunned, which is understandable since the Cornhuskers really hadn't even been challenged this year. I'd expect a rematch to look much different.

Wow, it really wasn't even all that close: 30-22, 30-25, 30-20. Congrats to Texas on ending the streak! I would not have predicted this outcome at all.
